Job Description


We are seeking a skilled and driven Project Manager to lead and manage HVAC, plumbing, and process-related projects from concept through completion. This role is responsible for developing client relationships, managing project sales, coordinating field labor with operational teams, and ensuring successful project execution. The ideal candidate demonstrates sound judgment, strong leadership, and a high level of commitment to delivering value for clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership & Execution
  • Serve as the single point of responsibility for project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage all aspects of project delivery including estimating, concept engineering, proposals, client meetings, contract negotiations, and closeout.
  • Lead project planning and field coordination, working closely with installation teams to sequence work efficiently and ensure quality outcomes.
  • Oversee contract administration from procurement through execution, ensuring alignment with project goals and scope.
  • Financial Oversight
  • Develop forecasts and project budgets, managing costs within agreed-upon limits.
  • Prepare business correspondence such as proposals, contracts, change orders, and strategy documents that support sound business practices and minimize risk.
  • Monitor project costs and billing processes to maintain profitability and financial visibility.
  • Client and Team Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external clients, vendors, subcontractors, and industry partners.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Construction, and Service to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Actively contribute to internal improvement initiatives and committees focused on operational or technical development.
  • Communication & Coordination
  • Lead project kickoff meetings and maintain consistent communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Attend project management and coordination meetings to ensure alignment across departments.
  • Leverage internal resources to meet project and client expectations effectively and efficiently.
  • Team Collaboration & Mentorship
  • Coordinate and provide direction to cross-functional teams assigned to projects.
  • Mentor junior staff or team members as assigned, supporting professional development and departmental growth.
  • Participate in recruitment, training, and onboarding initiatives as requested.
  • Other Duties
  • Perform other responsibilities and special assignments as directed by leadership to meet organizational and project-specific goals.


Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the estimating, design, and management of HVAC or mechanical projects ranging from $50,000 to $25+ million.
Strong business development skills with the ability to generate and sustain new project opportunities.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
High degree of independence, integrity, and accountability in managing responsibilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
Experience with project management and estimating software tools such as JDE, IFS, BidTracer, FastEst, Bluebeam, Box, or Smartsheet is preferred.
Active participation in industry or community organizations is encouraged.

Pay: $64,000.00 - $96,000.00 per year
