Journeyman Electricians – $28–$39/hr | 1-Year Project Location: Carroll, IA & Nebraska Type: Full-Time | Long-Term Project (1 Year) Pay: $28–$39/hr (Based on Experience) Now Hiring Journeyman Electricians for Industrial Project Work
We’re seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians for a long-term project at a Smithfield food processing facility in Carroll, IA. Work will include electrical service upgrades, underground conduit installation, and MCC system upgrades. This is a great opportunity for local candidates, but we are open to travelers as well. Project Details:
Location: Carroll, IA (with potential travel to Nebraska)
Duration: 1 year minimum (possible additional work in NE & IL)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible)
Overtime: Optional 10-hour shifts available
Responsibilities:
Install and upgrade electrical service systems
Perform primary and secondary underground conduit work
Install new gear, switchgear, and MCCs
Read and interpret blueprints
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues
Ensure all work meets code and safety standards
Requirements:
Journeyman or Master Electrician License (Iowa or Nebraska preferred)
Experience with:
Service upgrades and MCCs
Underground conduit installation
Blueprint reading and electrical troubleshooting
Willingness to work in Carroll, IA (travel to Nebraska may be required)
Reliable and safety-conscious
