Position: Electrical or Mechanical Project Engineer
Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year
Location: Preference for Oregon or Southwest Washington; secondary preference for Arizona. Relocation considered for the right candidate. Overview:
We are seeking a leader with a proven ability to develop and secure projects for the team. The ideal candidate will hold a PE license in Oregon and be in Oregon or Southwest Washington, with Arizona as a secondary option. Relocation may be considered for exceptional candidates. Key Responsibilities:
Design mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for projects of varying complexity.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure project cohesion.
Lead and manage a team of junior engineers, designers, and drafters.
Participate in client design review meetings and present to customers.
Prepare technical specifications, sequences of operations, testing documents, and reports.
Ensure designs comply with building codes and regulations.
Work closely with architects and contractors to ensure MEP systems meet project requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure efficient system performance.
Promote the company to external clients and build long-term relationships.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of experience as an independent MEP designer/engineer.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and manage junior staff.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Highly organized with a focus on delivering quality results.
Design-build experience is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering or a related field.
Has a book of business
Ideally have a license in OR, AZ
Willing to transfer license so that they can sign off on projects in a different state
