Job Description

- Position: Electrical or Mechanical Project Engineer
- Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year
Location: Preference for Oregon or Southwest Washington; secondary preference for Arizona. Relocation considered for the right candidate.
Overview:
We are seeking a leader with a proven ability to develop and secure projects for the team. The ideal candidate will hold a PE license in Oregon and be in Oregon or Southwest Washington, with Arizona as a secondary option. Relocation may be considered for exceptional candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for projects of varying complexity.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure project cohesion.
- Lead and manage a team of junior engineers, designers, and drafters.
- Participate in client design review meetings and present to customers.
- Prepare technical specifications, sequences of operations, testing documents, and reports.
- Ensure designs comply with building codes and regulations.
- Work closely with architects and contractors to ensure MEP systems meet project requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure efficient system performance.
- Promote the company to external clients and build long-term relationships.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as an independent MEP designer/engineer.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and manage junior staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with a focus on delivering quality results.
- Design-build experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering or a related field.
- Has a book of business
- Ideally have a license in OR, AZ
- Willing to transfer license so that they can sign off on projects in a different state
